More experimental today than usual, and would like to hear what all of you interpret it as before I have my say so on what I mean with it, which is more simple that it seems.
OK, most eye charts run left to right and the size of the text gets smaller as you work your way down. This tests visual acuity/accuracy. The finer print you can read, the clearer your vision. I see that the larger text on your eyeball/bullseye is larger in the center, and the text gradually gets smaller as you move outward from the center. These are all names that politicos have given the enemy, and as you move outward, to the more accurate description, we see that it is in fact Islam that's the true problem, not the PC names such as Fascism and extremism that many use. So if I got this right, to pass the test with perfect 'vision', you need to see the enemy for what it actually is, ISLAM.Did I circuitously get to the point you were trying to make?
Well carp...perhaps it's the center of the target...fundamentalism...the basic tenets of the religion that's the true 20/20 vision we need. Maybe I got it backwards...damn.I need my eyes tested
Carp? Need a finger replacement too. Meant 'shit'.
Hahahahaha! 'Anonymous', you need to lay off the liquor.Great post, Bosch. I don't think I could do any better than what was already posted.
Focusing on the true problem.
OK, so far as I can tell, "Islam" is emphasized visually two ways. First, within each of the columns, the font used for "Islam" is bolder than the rest of the type -- the extra stuff used to make Islam into some academic sounding jargon. Then it's also emphasized horizontally in the 4th (?) row, where the letters I-S-L-A-M are in boldface. So the idea is that, if you sift through all this euphemistic verbiage, we can see the true nature of what the problem is: Islam itself. So, whereas a regular old eye test tests your regular vision, the "Evil Eye Test" tests your ability to spot where Evil truly is, even though politicians, media, etc., would obscure it. Did I get it? AP
Yep, I could tell after careful examination that the bold print was ISLAM and that it was going to the center which is apparently the heart of the problem in the world today. I am in an "academic" environment, so when I talked about Jihadis wanting to kill us (mind you this was before the time than my Middle East History since 1800 class started) the teacher's assistant and some other guy said I can't talk about Muslims in that broad a term. So I had to explain to them that when I said Jihadis, I meant those Muslim terrorist who want to kill us. But still the idol of PC kept them from moving the discussion along. I has not gotten ugly...yet. I will site Robert Spencer's work on Islam when we talk about the recent terror committed by the enemy. Whatever you do Bosch, don't stop. We need this more than we care to admit.
Interesting, Bosch, right off the bat...not your usual color scheme, but it also reminds me of old posters and ads from the art deco age...
anon, Didn't even notice that it resembles a bullseye, but it obviously does once one sees it that way, good catch. It's actually an Evil Eye icon which I was led to by a friend of mine, I read that it's very prominent in Turkey and figured it was a good image to bring into this piece. Thanks, Mike, it is more simple than at first sight. anon 2, yes, once we call the enemy by his name and acknowledge the direct connection between Islam and Jihad terrorism, we will then act to defeat it.AP, yes, you most definitely got it, well put, with it being a sort of evil detector test. But no doubt there are those who will look at this same thing and see what's there, but will pretend they don't. Thank you, Godfrey, the best way for us civlians to fight is by telling the truth, again and again and again, no matter the obstruction. Thanks, Joe, it definitely is different than the other pieces, and click the link below the image as to exactly why.
Very good one! Are they watching us? Because we are surely not watching them...Or are we just watching our nation gradually islamized?I love your drawings. They incite inquiry. Here is my friend, Brigitte Gabriel's speech on how infiltrated we are. She also touches on the UK issue you'll see how she puts things into perspective. The event was yesterday at the Heritage Foundation here in Washington, P.C.<--as you call it. I love it BTW.They Must Be Stopped: Why We Must Defeat Radical Islam and How We Can Do It by Brigitte Gabriel on September 23, 2008http://www.heritage.org/Press/Events/ev092308b.cfmor CLICK HERE!
Thanks, Siren, we're definitely watching them. Another meaning behind the piece is meant to say that those who can see that it is Islam behind all of this horror are considered evil by those who perpetuate the evil in the name of good. That those who can see the Truth have the evil eye. And wow, you're friends with Brigitte Gabriel, she really tells it like it is in her inimitable way, and with so much passion that even those in a coma about Islam could potentially be snapped out of it. Looking forward to the linked interview, thanks.
Ah, "I" see it now, thanks!
There is something over on the Northeast Intelligence Network -- which for some reason I can't get to link -- is creeping me out though nobut it's at http://www.homelandsecurityus/com/They began on 9/20 by noting that the alleged al Qaaeda password SNAFU (in which the "wrong" password was sent out with the annual 9/11 message) more likely indicated that the initial release had been aimed at operatives who had another password. Of course on 9/20 the Islamabad Marriott was blown up. Northeast claims that an internet message currently being scrutinized in the intelligence community "appears to provide detailed instructions for Muslims living within the United States, giving them specific actions to take before, during and after an upcoming attack in the U.S." some time in early October, possibly the 7th. Of course, warnings like this pop up with regular frequency, but this would seem to be a particularly bad moment for us to experience an attack that would have a negative effect on the economy...
On the other hand, Instapundit reports that "scientists say" red wine helps protect against radiation sickness. He didn't say which scientists or how they had conducted the tests or if at this point they actually give a damn about th' rad'ashun effexs or not...
I'm on my way out the door to work, but FOX is reporting Ahmadinejad says Iran plans to launch a rocket 430 miles into space. With a communications satellite. Sure. Everybody knows what high altitude rockets carrying nuclear payloads can lead to, I assume...
Wow! I love your explanation.A bit like "In a time of universal deceit, telling the Truth is a revolutionary act." Orwell, 1984You inspired me to even do my own drawing... nevermind... however I tried, but I only used photoshop, hee hee. I'll definitely send Brigitte your way. Your posts such as "Islam vs. Peace" and others are incredible. She will love them. She feels/thinks exactly like you in many respects.
RRA, It is for those in power, those in charge of protecting us, to take this thug seriously, but the way he's allowed to have his way in New York City is just more proof than ever that those in charge are not, of their senses, and of their highest of all purposes: the protection of the American people. It's always We the People, who pay the price for such folly. He should never have been allowed into the country and should have been shut up the moment he spoke about nuking Israel or Us. Iran has never paid a price for killing Americans and because of that, they will continue to kill them. I suppose if they killed a prominent politician it'd be a different story, and I play with that idea in my story.
Siren,Thanks again, and I'd love to have Brigitte Gabriel pay a visit here.
From the Atlas Shrugs blog, 'BEHEAD THOSE WHO BEHEAD THOSE WHO INSULT ISLAM' and other placards at the anti-Ahmadinejad protest. You gotta see how one brings Islam and Married with Children into it, ha.
Bosch,Those pictures from the anti-Ahmadinejad protest are awesome! Thanks for showing them to us.
Had to link to them, D, they're great.
