That's the one thing I thought was missing. It might just be that I like heroines a little too much, but I doubt that there's anything that could beat a Pig Girl in a pig leather bikini takin it to the faithful.
Looks like Obama's Muslim-like pigotry got the best of him today, as he inadvertently or deliberately referred to Palin as a pig, and his crowd went wild, taking it as just that. I don't mean to be reaching, but in this female-centric post of the Damsels, linked to the PigWoman post, and now with B.O. suggesting that Palin's a pig, a pun I thought of a while ago comes to mind: Apocalipstick on a Pig.
On the story above, here's a link load that covers it. So soon after his '...My Muslim faith..' slip from the other day, this really gives me more hope that America won't change for the worse.
Bosch, I have added you to my daily 'things to check out' folder, instead of looking once a week.
I love Pigman, and can't wait till Pigwoman gets more play. May I be so bold as to suggest they battle arch villian 'Sharia Creep'? Something about today's panel just screams that phrase.
You captured the plight of innocent women under Sharia very well. Those poor ladies. We do need some hero (Pigman) and heroine (Pigwoman) who will crush those cowards who hurt and murder the ones who in many cases are their own mothers, sisters, cousins, and friends. Dose Pigwoman in the story get her origin from personal experience like Frank Warner and Duke Killian? Keep them coming.
That one's a beauty, Bosch. I would also like to read more about Pigwoman's origins.
Tomorrow is 9/11/2008. Seven years. I spent a couple of hours this morning watching archive videos; can't do it tomorrow because it's a work day. It is hard to believe that so many have forgotten the horror and failed to learn the meaning of that day. Perhaps tomorrow our Republican candidates, at least, will take a break from the lipstick-on-a-pig mudslinging match and have a few words to say about what really matters in this year's election.
Bosch, I know we agree on a lot of things, but I listened to Obama's speech in context this evening, and I have to disagree. Obama did not call Palin a pig. (Shudder...I'm actually on the side of a guy I don't want in office.) He (Obama) was referring to McCain continuing many of Bush's policies if elected. McCain has used that euphemism several times over the years, and a chief Republican strategist wrote a book entitled Lipstick on a Pig to explain its use for cutting through spin. When pressed on the issue directly, McCain supporters either said that they did not believe Obama slighted Palin (who should be slighted in my opinion for her lack of experience and stance on abortion)or were unwilling to come right out and say that he did...deflecting the question entirely.
Good grief. This sexism card the Republicans are pulling is equally as disgusting as the race card many Democrats use.
Mike, I'm one of the few who share your horror of Palin but the alternative is unthinkable. Obama is not merely naive or just a politician. He's been groomed for 20 years by the enemies of this nation, and he and his cronies will deliberately work to destroy it if he gets into office. I fear the future a phenomenon like Palinomania means, years down the road for people like me -- atheist, pro-choice -- because as the Islamists advance the opposition will become increasingly Christianized and the focus will move from defending our freedom to preserving that religion. We will become marginalized, pariah fighters eventually. But it is still better than giving up and letting the Islamists come and take us.
Bummer. The Dwarf is back. FOX is reporting that Ahmadinejerk plans to favor his friends at the UN with yet another Appearance, this time on September 23rd. The NYPD must be just thrilled to see his ugly mug again...
Thanks, Revereridesagain. I don't mean to stir the pot by any means, but man, what you say has some real weight. Still, though. No one has convinced me yet they are the right man or woman for the job. Unfortunately I don't see that happening between now and November.
Thanks for the good words, and SuperJihad will personify the enemy in the Pigman part of the book, with one of his goals being to enforce Sharia on all.
Godfrey, as of today, Pigwoman has no place in the story, though I did consider something along those lines, we'll see.
rra, I'm with you, and thanks. I would hope we hear the words Jihad and Muslim terrorism Now.
Mike, I wrote that Obama suggested it, writing that he 'inadvertently or deliberately referred to Palin as a pig.' Now, the only reason why he could have done so is that the word lipstick is on our minds after Palin famously used it in her speech and Obama's crowd reacted as if he indeed insulted her with that crack. Thing is, no matter how we want it to be, little things like this do matter, as every word and move matter right now until judgment day in Nov. I don't think Obama's going to survive the truth about his friendship with the unrepentent terrorist William Ayers in the end. When the McCain campaign has the undivided attention of Americans in Oct., they're going to unload it on Obama as it should be.
Gotcha, Bosch. You are no doubt right that it was more than coincidence that lipstick comment was made in the wake of Palin's speech. But still, I wish it were someone other than McCain I could rally around. I just can't bring myself to do it. Maybe in October when I see Obama reeling, I just might. But man...

I know it's cliche of me to write this, but...
DAMN, YOU ARE A MACHINE!
Lots of food for thought on this one. Excellence all around.
You can call me 'Art Robot', Mike, ha. Thanks, my friend, this week has me even more into it than usual.

But the piece is really strong, very emotional.
Just a thought.

Thanks, Landon. Now there is a strong woman in my story, but she only eats 'the flesh of swine', she doesn't wear it. Well, at least in public.

To be more clear about the above comment, is Sharia Creep something you can or want to personify?
This is great, bosch. Very moving.

Nope, not voting for either one. Cemented.
