The images of those innocent people jumping (some falling) to their deaths will always stick with me. This one is even more powerful than your usual fare, Bosch.
Just stunning, Bosch.
This image is fromThe Infidel, which opens up on 9/11. Out of all the horrific images of that day, seeing the bodies, some reports say 50, some 200, was the one that shook me to my core.
Those images, I will take with me to my grave. You have captured this in stunning fashion, Mr. Fawstin. As soon as I saw this, I got chills running down my back and was taken right back, almost eight years ago. These are images we never fully recover from, and that is as it should be.
I never thought such a simple illustration could evoke so much emotion in me.
I'll be interested in seeing how the character of Salaam can witness something so horrific and STILL decide he wants to rededicate his life to Islam. Makes me think this guy must be far more twisted inside than your standard comics villain.Seeing this makes up for the fact that I had to have lunch with an overly opinionated (and hypocritical) liberal today.
In the tradition of Saul Bass -- and equally impressive.
