Born Again Muslim

Here's a shot of Born Again Muslim Salaam Duka from THE INFIDEL #2, out next month. Salaam is Killian Duke's twin brother, who I refer to as a Recovering Muslim.

Since you actually know the dangers of Islam-what with coming from an Islamic background and all- I'd like to hear your opinion on Craig Thompsons's new book, "Habibi".

After all , I'd like to know how the man fighting jihad with his work feels about those who attempt to "Humanize" it, as if that's even possible.

It's sad that the left will invariably champion it while dismissing your good work, but them's the brake, I suppose.

Hell, even good ol' frankie's not safe from it.

They take umbrage with frank's fantastic portrayal of the enemy and name that cultural relativist's garbage one of the year's best.

But I suppose any recognition is welcomed. even if it so called "controversial" As if calling Islam Islam would surprise people.

Anyway, you just keep up the good work. I know somebody just got an awesome new bookmark ;D

Thanks. I haven't read Habibi. I think Thompson gives all he has to his comics & weilds a mean brush, but from his first comments years ago about Habibi, where he said that America is a villain in it & that there would be no guns in his story, meaning no reality, to his recent comments that his book expresses the "beauty" of Islamic culture, as opposed to what he claims is our ugly culture. And even though his comments about it suggest that Habibi is a love letter to Islam, a Muslim who was on a radio show with him said that his book isn't really about Islam & that it wouldn't make Muslims go crazy. Meaning, Thompson played it as safe as he could, gutting his comic of the truth about Islamic culture. He's an Islamophile of the worst kind since he claims to have read the Koran.
