Yusuf Islam destroyed himself and his reputation for Islam, for whatever sick reason. And his sanctioning the killing of Salman Rushdie only taught him to shut his mouth about such things in public. Imagine what he says behind closed doors. And recently, John Stewart introduced him on a stage, by calling him simply, "Yusuf". Cat (Stevens) got his tongue? Maybe Stewart understand that simply uttering the word Islam would kill the audiences buzz.
