Watch Out, New York, Marvel's "Muslim Superhero" is "Comin' For You"

In the below description for their "Muslim superhero", Ms. Marvel, Marvel Comics writes that "she's comin' for you, New York." :

(W) C. Willow Wilson (A/CA) Adrian Alphona
• How does a young girl from Jersey City become the next biggest super hero?
•  Kamala has no idea either. But she's comin' for you, New York.

And here's the cover. I added Marvel's text to it to drive the tone-deaf point home. I recently challenged Marvel's senior vice president of publishing, Tom Brevoort, about their promotion of Islam, despite the fact that he says he knows nothing about Islam. Here was our exchange.

And a note to Marvel Comics: If Muslims didn't come for New York in 1993 and 2001, your description and cover would not be as ill-boding as it is. But the whole purpose of your "Muslim superhero" is to pretend that Muslims aren't comin' for us, during a time of war when they are comin' for us. Every. Single. Day. If they weren't, your "Muslim superhero" could've been eyeing The Twin Towers instead of The Empire State Building on your cover.

While it's clear you've given your Muslim writer and Muslim editor free reign to do as they please with your "Muslim superhero", here are ten reasons why you shouldn't be promoting "Muslim superheroes".
