Interview with The Free Press Society & My Mohammad Christmas Card

UPDATE: I requested permission to post my interview, originally published in Danish, in English here on my blog. You can read it below, and leave your thoughts.

I just did an interview with The Free Press Society. It's written in Danish, and if you're interested in reading it, Google Translate should do it. I designed a Christmas card for the organization, joining a couple of the Danish Mohammad cartoonists who've done earlier ones.

You have a Muslim background. Why did you leave Islam?

I left Islam when I began to take the idea of morality seriously. I was exposed enough to the religion to make me ashamed to remain a part of it, especially being raised in America, a country whose values are antithetical to Islamic values. Even though my family would be referred to as "Moderate Muslims" today (we simply called ourselves Muslim) the immoderate misogyny and Jew-hatred that's inherent in the religion was a part of my upbringing, and I wanted no part of it.

You have been drawing Muhammed for years. When did you start drawing Muhammed?

I first drew Mohammad after the Danish Mohammad cartoonists were threatened with death over them. I never set out to draw Mohammad, but when fellow Westerners are targeted for drawing the founder of the religion that animates the war being waged on the West, well, drawing Mohammad cartoons is the least I could do to show my support for them, for Freedom of Expression and to show the enemy that they have no power over us.

Are you anti Muslim?

"Anti-Muslim" is what critics of Islam always get accused of being, because people want to equate legitimate criticism of Islam with a hatred for all those who identify themselves as Muslim. I am a critic of Islam and its most consistent practitioners, not of "All Muslims", since most Muslims ignore Islam in the way they live their lives, especially those living in the West. But I do question those who steadfastly remain a part of a religion that inspires the most unspeakable atrocities, regardless of the lies they tell themselves about it. So while I recognize that many Muslims aren't at war with us, I also recognize that they're not on our side either. So Muslims, in not making a clear choice to side with the West against Jihad, are giving ammunition to those who don't bother to make distinctions between Islam and Muslims, and therefore condemn all Muslims, devout or not. But regardless, Muslims at large have done very little to make those who are "anti-Muslim" to change their minds, which is why their reputation is in the toilet.

At the moment fear and self censorship is prevailing. In Denmark no newspapers dare printing the Danish Mohammad cartoons anymore. Do you think this will change in the future?

I hope so, but right now it's popular to blame Mohammad cartoons for Islamic violence, when it's actually Islamic violence that inspires Mohammad cartoons. What I do know is that I will continue to draw Mohammad cartoons (I've drawn six new Mohammad cartoons since winning the contest) and publish them on the Internet.

I know you have received threats. Have you ever considered stopping drawing Muhammed?

No. While it's not a joy to draw something that brings death threats, it's the death threats that will have to stop before I ever consider stopping drawing Mohammad.

(And then they did a follow up, asking me about my Mohammad Christmas card design and my thoughts on Christmas)

About my Christmas card design, since I was drawing it for The Free Press Society, I figured drawing a new Mohammad cartoon was essential, considering that drawing Mohammad is the best way one can show one's support for Freedom of Expression in the world today. And no matter what goes on in the world, and in my personal world, I Love Christmas, and I love wishing all men and women of good will a very Merry Christmas. (As for men and women of bad will, they can go to Hellistan). I repeat, Merry Christmas to All Men and Women of Good Will.

Mohammad as a Woman

A picture of the female jihadist, Tashfeen Malik, who committed the mass murder in San Bernardino, California, finally surfaced a couple of days after the massacre, and my first thought was how manly she looked. And so I drew her as Mohammad.

The Mythical "Backlash" Against Muslims

After every Islamic attack, there are articles written by leftists about how Muslims are bracing themselves for a "backlash" they never get. Now why would Muslims expect a backlash if they have nothing to do with Jihadist attacks against us? If Islam means peace? If ISIS "has nothing to do with Islam"? Because Muslims are part of a religion that demands them to "Kill the infidels wherever you find them", whether they do so or not. Since the widespread post-9/11 anti-Muslim backlash that the scumedia was bracing for never came – “Islamophobic” attacks in the years following have had to be exaggerated or made up. Even in the 2013 U.S. “Hate Crimes” Report, Jews are still attacked five times more than Muslims.

I just tweeted this out:

Muslims Celebrated 9/11, Despite the Scumedia's Lies

Muslims celebrated 9/11. In New Jersey, New York, across America and the world. We All know that. And even though tRump, in his usual sloppy manner, reminded us of that the other day, the scumedia has worked 24/7 to try to cover up the fact that Muslims did indeed celebrate 9/11. And people are pushing back with proof that it did in fact actually happen, which the scumedia could have actually found, if not for the fact that they're locked into today's Big Lie, "Islam means peace" and that Muslims are somehow victims, even those who commit unspeakable horrors. I even touched on Muslims celebrating 9/11 in my comic book, The Infidel. From my latest issue, where my fictional counterpart, Killian Duke, cartoonist creator of Pigman, is defending himself in court from the CAIR-like Muslim stealth jihad group, Your Muslim Friends.

Taking An Online Break

The Paris atrocities made me take a break from my recent break from social media, which I took in order to work on a big project, which I'm going to return to now. I will return at the start of the New Year. Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, and Happy Hanukkah to you all. And let me leave you now with my dedication page to my print book ProPiganda: Drawing the Line Against Jihad

Countering the Immoderate Lies of "Moderate Muslims"

UPDATE: Feb 26, 2017. Muslim filmmaker had a dupe at the oscars peddle a falsehood about a "peaceful" passage in the Koran. I debunked it.

In the wake of the horrific atrocities in Paris, France, committed by Islam's heroes, the Jihadists, "Moderate Muslims" are running over the dead bodies of Islam's victims to tell us how peaceful Islam is, and they're attempting to "prove" it by quoting from the Koran. Well, I take on that particular myth in The Infidel #3, where Killian Duke (my fictional counterpart who's Pigman's cartoonist creator in my story) is defending himself in court from the Muslim group "Your Muslim Friends". Here is the beginning of his dismantling of the infamous quote that dishonest Muslims push every time Jihadists commit atrocities so big no one can ignore them or pretend they didn't happen in the name of Islam. From page 30 of The Infidel #3.

Ted Cruz Once Again Mentions Ayn Rand on the Floor of the Senate

For the Third time, and now for the first time as a Presidential candidate, Ted Cruz mentions Ayn Rand and Atlas Shrugged during a speech on the floor of the Senate, from earlier today. I recommend listening to his entire speech here. It's long, but it's a great dismantling of what he calls "The Washington Cartel". I was able to isolate the 22 seconds of his mention of Ayn Rand and put it on Soundcloud, which you can listen to below.

"The Infidel is the Only Truly Relevant Post-9/11 Comic."

Daniel Greenfield, of the Sultan Knish blog, wrote a review of my series The Infidel (focusing on my latest issue), and to say it's the kind of recognition I would like to get for my work is an understatement. If you haven't yet gotten my Pigman series, The Infidel, you can get your digital copies on Amazon Kindle and on ComiXology.

The Iron Lady

On Margaret Thatcher's birthday, here's my drawing of The Iron Lady.

Fox News, via John Stossel, Supports Free Speech

On the left is my May 15 illustration, after it was clear that Fox News would Not show my winning Mohammad cartoon, even though they reported on it very often after the Garland attack. On the right is my acknowledgement and thanks that Fox News allowed John Stossel to show the media how it's done. If you're going to report on a Mohammad cartoon, repeatedly, then you have to Show the Mohammad cartoon, or else you've submitted to terrorism. John Stossel refused to submit, and Fox News allowed it to air. Bravo.

My Mohammad Cartoon Was Shown on Stossel's Special on Fox News!

UPDATE: Here's the video.

I couldn't watch John Stossel's Free Speech special on Fox News (got rid of cable) but I'm told a bit of my interview with Stossel was shown, along with my winning Mohammad Cartoon! I'm Ecstatic about that, as it has become The Cartoon That Must Not Be Shown, and Fox News is the Only major news outlet that has shown it. Kudos to John Stossel & Fox News. I wanted it to be shown, one of his producers told me they would show it, but until they do, you just don't know, considering the fact that Free Speech is under siege in America today. I am Very Happy, and I look forward to seeing the special, titled "Censored in America", which includes Mark Steyn, Ayaan Hirsi Ali and more.

UPDATE: I ended up watching the special and I'm proud to have been part of it. Big Time kudos to Stossel and Fox for showing my Mohammad cartoon. In the PC climate we're in today, this is Huge, and I really appreciate it.

P.S. Lou Dobbs showed a billboard with my Mohammad cartoon on his Fox Business show a few months ago.

Reminder: I'm on Stossel's "Censored in America" Special on Fox News

Tomorrow night, Saturday, October 10, 2015, on Fox News, 8pm eastern time. Mark Steyn and Ayaan Hirsi Ali also take part in the special, so it should be really good. More info here.

I Will Be On Stossel's Free Speech Special on FOX News Sat. 8pm EST

I was told by John Stossel's producer that I will appear at the beginning of the show, but with Ayaan Hirsi Ali and Mark Steyn also appearing on the show, you'll want to watch the entire special. I was told that my winning Mohammad cartoon will be shown. We'll see. From Stossel's FOX Business blog:

"America is the first country to say to its people: all of you have a right to speak. But today speech is under siege.

ISLAM: Americans fear speaking about Islam - and with good reason. Ten cartoonists were recently murdered for drawing cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad. Other critics have been shot, firebombed, and hacked to death. I interview people brave enough to speak out, like Ayaan Hirsi Ali, who is on an Al Qaeda "Wanted Dead or Alive" hit list, and Bosch Fawstin, who won the "Draw Mohammad" cartoon event in Garland, Texas that was attacked by Islamic gunmen. They argue that if Americans want freedom, everyone must refuse to be censored by violent extremists." Read the rest here

The Dark Pig Returns

"An artistic and storytelling triumph." -that guy from Bleeding Cool.com, about my 3rd Pigman comic book, The Infidel #3

The rest of his review was superfluous :) The title of his review was "The Dark Pigman Returns -The Most Right Wing Comic Book On The Planet?", which if you don't know, was alluding to Frank Miller's seminal Batman comic book series, The Dark Knight Returns, which I pay an homage to on the left. The reviewer wished there was “more nuance” and “less Randian individualism” in my work, not realizing that he’s describing most comics today, and why mine is different. Then the reviewer desperately attempts to counter the fact that Pigman is the only anti-jihad comic book out there by citing Charlie Hebdo, as if they publish anti-Jihad, anti-Islam comic book stories and not simply single Mohammad cartoons, which they don't even do anymore. And finally, an interesting, or revealing, feature of his review was that he did not mention me by name, which happens more and more these days, making me...
The Cartoonist Who Must Not Be Named.

The Infidel, featuring Pigman, is Available on Kindle & ComiXology

UPDATE: #1, #2 and #3 are now available in print here

For those who haven't yet gotten my series The Infidel, featuring Pigman: It's a story within a story, with the Pigman part of it being the comic book within the graphic novel. Here's a synopsis of The Infidel:

THE INFIDEL is about twin brothers Killian Duke and Salaam Duka whose Muslim background comes to the forefront of their lives on 9/11. It's Recovered Muslim vs Born Again Muslim. Killian responds to the atrocity by creating a comic book about an ex-Muslim counter-jihad superhero called PIGMAN, as Salaam fully surrenders to Islam. Pigman's battle against his archenemy SuperJihad is echoed by the escalating conflict between the twins.

You can get your instant digital downloads of my Pigman comic book on ComiXology here and on Amazon Kindle here

Let me know what you think of The Infidel either here on my blog, or in the star rating at ComiXology, but most especially a written review on Amazon, which will bring more attention to it. Thanks for your support.

Dear Print Snobs (I Used to Be One)

A fan of my work writes me, after going to the ComiXology link for my Pigman digital comics: "I would like to to buy a hard copy; an actual comic book, of Pig Man. The link has the option of buying a digital copy. Tnx"
I wrote back that "it's all about the content, and while I would like to offer both digital and print, I can't afford to do so."
Fan follows up "I understand, print is very expensive. Thank you for your response and THANK YOU for fighting the good fight! Never submit."
Not long after, he writes back: "love the digital Pig Man. Better than a real comic. Beautiful!"
I respond "I think the back light (on iPad/eBook reader) really shows the pages in a way that print cannot, especially for color comic books."
I used to be a print snob, dismissing digital comic books and books, but when I do get comic books these days, it's digital, as well as books. Now, I definitely get my special edition hardcover, oversized art books, which digital can't really do justice, but regular print comic books can't match the way the pages come to life on my iPad, where everything pops off the page in a way print can't achieve. So for those who dismiss digital comic books, reconsider it. The best way to try it is to go onto ComiXology, set up an account, without charge, and download one of their free comics, just to get a first hand test of how reading a comic book on an eBook reader, or computer or smart phone looks like. If that's what's stopping you from reading my comic book, I ask that you simply give a free digital comic a try. Here are all of the Free Comics at ComiXiology where you can see for yourself how great a reading experience it is, but it is Ideal on an eBook reader, as when I first uploaded my comic books onto my iPad, I was blown away and it knocked the print snob right out of me. Try it. Thanks.

Pigman, the Jihadists' Worst Nightmare, Returns

American superheroes have gone from kicking evil's ass to kissing evil's ass. Not only won't Marvel & DC Comics allow their superheroes to take on Jihadists, but they promote the "Islam means peace" myth through their "Muslim superheroes", as if jihad doesn't exist.

And then there's Pigman, my anti-jihad superhero, who, like me, is a recovered Muslim who studied Islam as if his life depended on it, but who, unlike me, takes the war into his own hands when he sees our culture's inability to respond to Jihad in kind. Here's my synopsis for my series, The Infidel, featuring Pigman:

THE INFIDEL is about twin brothers Killian Duke and Salaam Duka whose Muslim background comes to the forefront of their lives on 9/11. It's Recovered Muslim vs Born Again Muslim. Killian responds to the atrocity by creating an ex-Muslim counter-jihad superhero comic book called PIGMAN, as Salaam fully surrenders to Islam. Pigman's battle against his archenemy SuperJihad is echoed by the escalating conflict between the twins.

So if you want to see the enemy treated in a
way Far different than it's being treated in the real world or in any of our entertainment media, get my Pigman comic book series. I just released my third Pigman comic book, The Infidel #3. It's a Pig-sized 55 pages, and the few readers who have responded to it so far agree with me that it's the best issue yet. You be the judge: Get your instant digital downloads of my Pigman comic book on ComiXology here and on Amazon Kindle here

If The Jihadists in Garland Had Their Way...

...Pigman would have ended his battle against Jihad because I wouldn't have been around to finish The Infidel #3. This issue is a particularly special one for me, because it comes after the whirlwind of my winning the Mohammad cartoon contest and the jihadist attack that followed, along with the scumedia's attack on those of us involved in the contest. Things are different for me today than they were before Garland, in a number of ways, yet I have no intention of stopping what I'm doing, despite the continued threats. As I wrote earlier today: Death threats won't stop me. Only death will. And let me say this to those who are foregoing getting my individual digital issues of The Infidel at ComiXology, and who are instead waiting for my hardcover pigskin-leather bound collection of The Infidel, the one that I often invoke: it's a dream of mine, to put all six or seven issues together in that way, but I don't know if it'll happen. I hope it does, if everything works out well, but I wouldn't wait if I were you, because even if it happens, it'll take years. Keep in mind that, unlike most comic books, which are done by a number of people, I'm a one man show. I write, draw, letter, color and self-publish it all. In other words, if you want to support the Only comic book taking on Jihad in the world today- as well as taking on Islam in an explicit way- then I really need your support now. You may have a preference for print, but I simply can't afford to release a print alternative or else I would have. If you want to see the enemy get it in the way they never have, in the way they deserve to, then get The Infidel #3 on Wednesday. It's the biggest and best issue of The Infidel yet, and I hope to make some noise on its release with your help. Thank you.

Speaking of Clocks and Islam...

Here is my depiction of the Clock Tower atop the Abraj Al-Bait Towers in Saudi Arabia, on page one of The Infidel #3. And it wouldn't be Islamic without the swords on the clock face, just as the official Saudi Arabian flag has a sword on it. How peaceful. The terms Killing Time and Time to Kill come to mind.

Oh, and if you haven't heard, Pigman returns in The Infidel #3 this Wed, Sept 23 on ComiXology. You can catch up with the series here by getting your digital copies.

"SuperJihad ... he will make you submit." -Osama bin Laden's last words, to Pigman

The first time Pigman hears about his archenemy, SuperJihad, it's from Osama bin Laden in The Infidel #1. Then SuperJihad introduces himself to the world in The Infidel #2 by destroying an American icon, leading Pigman to destroy an Islamic icon. And in The Infidel #3, coming out Wednesday, it's Pigman vs SuperJihad, available on ComiXology.

PIGMAN vs SUPERJIHAD in THE INFIDEL #3

It's been building since issue #1, and now it's Pigman versus his archenemy SuperJihad in The Infidel #3, coming out this coming Wednesday, September 23, on ComiXology. Catch up with The Infidel series here.
