Ayn Rand on the Right to Discriminate

I got this quote from Amy Peikoff's @AynRandBot twitter account. I suggest following it.

Taken to its logical extreme, Ayn Rand's statement would say racial and gender segregation is okay as long as it is done on private property.

People have the right to regulate behavior on their own premises (for example: "No gay sex"), but a general policy cannot be "You are too gay for my establishment".

If businesses are forced not to discriminate based on race, gender and religion, then the same existing laws should be extended to homosexual couples. How can we possibly have a healthy and tolerant society when large swaths of the country won't even look at other large swaths of the country?
